I am a Registered Nurse. I understand medications, diagnoses, care plans, and what happens when things fall through the cracks in a healthcare system.

But none of my training could save my grandfather. Not because the knowledge was not there — but because I was thousands of kilometres away in Calgary, and managing his care from that distance was simply too hard. Too many gaps. Too many missed appointments. Too many things nobody was coordinating.

He meant everything to me. Losing him that way broke my heart. And it showed me a gap that nobody was filling.
